Chapter two
He walks the hills of Galilee, calls fishermen and tax collectors to follow him, and teaches in plain speech about a kingdom that belongs to the poor in spirit.
Chapter three
Bread multiplied for a hungry crowd, sight given back to the blind, storms stilled with a word. The signs are gentle and startling at once, and they always point past themselves.
Chapter four
The garden, the trial, the cross. He is handed over, and he does not turn away. The heart of the story is the moment when love is proved by what it is willing to bear.
Chapter five
Three days later, the tomb is empty and the morning is quiet. Grief becomes recognition, and the story that seemed to end at the cross opens out into the world.
